These days I feel like all I do is make creamy Italian dishes, and I think I'm happy with my life choices! Honestly, there's nothing that can beat the winning combination of good cheese, good wine and good gnocchi, except for, maybe, sharing them with good company! The most important step for this dish, is to let the gnocchi 'fry' just a little in the butter - it enriches the flavor and 'tightens' the gnocchi, making for a delectable meal. I recommend pairing this dish with a light salad or some pan-fried salmon for a delicious meal that the whole family can enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 kg gnocchi
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 150 ml cooking cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
Instructions

In a large pot heat up water under boiling. Add in the gnocchi and let cook for two minutes (or follow directions on the packet), until soft.
Use a strainer to get rid of the water. Set gnocchi aside.
In a large saucepan on medium heat, heat up the butter until melted. Use a wooden spoon to mix so it doesn't burn.
Once melted, add in the gnocchi and stir for a few minutes, letting the gnocchi crisp just a tiny bit.
Add in the white wine and cream. Gently stir to incorporate.
Let it simmer for 10 minutes before serving.
