HYDRATION POPSICLE RECIPE

Hydration Popsicle Recipe
Hey Gnomies,
The temperatures outside have been dropping fast and as we head into winter I’m dreading the onset of cold and flu season. It seems like since my daughter started preschool last year someone in the family is always coming down with the sniffles. Despite our best efforts to keep germ free by washing our hands and keeping our immune systems healthy we are always getting sick.
You may remember my post last month about medicine cabinet organization. I’m pleased to report all of our medications and vitamins are still neatly organized on the lazy susan shelves I bought.
I recently re-stocked my pantry with all the essentials for cold and flu season. It’s always better to pick up these you need before you need them. I purchased the following from Fred Meyer:
Campbell’s® Chicken Noodle 4 Count 4 Pack
Everyone loves a bowl of chicken soup when they’re not feeling well. Campbell’s® soups warm you up when you need it most. As the temperature drops or when I’m sick, I crave things that warm me up and bring the comfort of home. I love that it has no artificial colors or flavors.
Lipton Bedtime Bliss Herbal Supplement
One of my least favorite parts of being sick is that I usually have trouble sleeping at night. Lipton has a new wellness range of herbal supplements boosted with botanicals
At the heart of each blend is a unique combination of 3 botanicals, expertly sourced and carefully blended with essential oils known for their wellness benefits. Bedtime Bliss is an herbal infusion that features chamomile, mint, and orange peels. It’s a great warm drink to try before bedtime.
Premium Crackers Original Premium Saltine Crackers
Nabisco PREMIUM is the #1 saltine cracker. In addition to using it for wellness purposes like upset stomachs we also be pair them with soup or chili or with dips for snacking. There are so many occasions to serve Premium Crackers so make sure you buy the big pack.
Theraflu Daytime Severe Cold & Cough Powders
Theraflu is Powerful relief without a prescription. It helps defeat 7 cold & flu symptoms fast, such as sore throat, nasal congestion, chest congestion, fever, cough, headache, body aches
TYLENOL® Cold + Flu Severe Warming Honey Lemon
I like the Honey Lemon Liquid formula. It’s a comforting warming liquid to temporarily relieve your tough cold and flu symptoms by clearing nasal congestion, quieting coughs and relieving minor aches and pains. For adults and children 12 years and older. Use only as directed.
In addition to these products I also whipped up some hydration popsicles and have them stored in my freezer. These popsicles are perfect for all stages of sickness. They will soothe your sore throat, help keep you hydrated and help cool you down if you’re running a fever.
I used real fruit juice with no added sugar but loaded with vitamin C, coconut water, which has natural electrolytes to keep you hydrated and berries which are full of antioxidants.
Make these popsicles now and keep them in the freezer so they’re ready before you need them.
