How to make cinnamon red hot canned pears. This is a delicious recipe that uses red hot candies to make a unique flavor.
These cinnamon pears are made with a light simple syrup, so it has less sugar than canned pears. You make these canned pears just like regular pears, but you add cinnamon red hot candies to the jars before canning.
The flavor takes about a month to develop, so let these sit on the shelf for a month. Then the pairs turn a pretty shade of pink.
I serve these plain as a side. You can also use them in pear dessert recipes. Learn more about the supplies that you need for canning at my cinnamon red hot canned pear recipe.
